(MENAFN) A problem with STC’s Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM) caused the Internet in Saudi Arabia to disconnect, reported Arab News.
The main problem was discovered when technicians were updating the main switching circuit for STC Kingdom wide and part of the network went down.
STC’s DSL services were not the only ones experiencing an outage but even STC’s wireless Internet and fixed line voice services were down, individuals complained.
It is worth noting that Mobily’s network is still operating, however as a result of extreme demand its wireless Internet is slower than usual.
