Creating multiple channels of Service
 
As the pioneer of banking technology and information in Bahrain, BBK has taken initiatives in introducing innovative products and services to serve the customers better. The banks’ ultimate objective is to maintain the IT leadership within the region’s financial arena.

Among all the banks in Bahrain, BBK remains the commercial bank that introduced a full, comprehensive electronic banking delivery channels and solutions. The e-Banking was developed by BBK through three stages:

1.       Marketing, promotion and awareness where the website was introduced.
2.       Interacting online with customers.
3.       Full online transaction for customers.

For the purpose of higher flexibility and efficiency, e-Banking has set off other conventional products and services that would be at the customer’s convenience 24 hours a day, 7 days a week anywhere, any place and any time. More important however, is that throughout these e-delivery channels, customers can check their bank accounts and pay their credit cards and utilities bills without having to come physically to the bank. Customers can also process and conduct their transaction easily without waiting or delay.

Recently, BBK has launched a number of online products and services including:

1.       Internet Banking for Retail and Corporate: An advanced service introduced to the bank, which enables sophisticated banking transactions at the click of a button. These can also be used for credit card payment, fund transfer and utility bill payment

2.       Telebanking: Allows customers and non-customers to conduct banking transactions and bank product enquiries, at their convenience.

3.       Contact Center: The first of its kind in Bahrain. A sufficient and a reliable service center where customer inquiries over the phone and web are addressed personally by professional staff.

4.       Payment Gateway: A system and solution for government ministries and private institutions to conduct their business and transactions via the net. Payment Gateway facilitates e-commerce payment by authenticating the parties involved, routing payment related to the data between these parties and the concerned banks/financial institutions in a highly secure environment.

5.       SMS Banking: an information and communication channel with the customers. It has two main types of transactions; Push & Pull. Push is to get Automated SMS (PUSH) Notifications for certain events. Pull is Sending SMS Codes to 4111 to get real time information.
