Treasury:

The Treasury Department offers a full range of products that are designed to cover every requirement of the Banks customers, from corporate to individuals.
These fall into the three main categories: Traditional Banking Services, Financial Management and Trading.

The Traditional Banking Services of foreign exchange and deposit accounts are executed with great flexibility and with highly competitive prices to our customers' benefit.  In addition, the department holds a highly – diversified Fixed Income portfolio of various securities that acts as a backup to the bank’s liquidity as well as providing a constant stream of monthly income.

Derivatives are an essential part of treasury products to manage interest and foreign exchange risk, indeed their purpose in financial management is to reduce risk rather than increasing it.

BBK offers a range of derivatives including options, interest rate swaps and future rate agreements, and is committed to ensuring that its customers are aware of both the benefits and pitfalls of their use. The Bank believes that it has a duty to its customers to make available to them the latest techniques and products for risk management as they are developed.

Investment:

The Investment Banking Department offers a spectrum of innovative investment products and services to institutional and individual investors. The services provided are Structured Products, Corporate Finance, Research and Advisory service which includes asset allocation, mutual funds and alternative investments.

Primary among the Investment Advisory services is INTELLIVEST, an innovative investment advisory program that uses the proven process of Asset Allocation to maximize return potential while minimizing risk. Through INTELLIVEST, a customized portfolio is created for each investor choosing from over 200 mutual funds that represent the best fund families in the industry.

On the Corporate Finance aspect, BBK has launched several Initial Public Offerings and Bond Issues in the local market, in the capacity of manager, underwriter, agent bank and receiving bank.

BBK is also a major distributor of off-shore mutual funds, such as MFS- Meridian Funds, Alliance Capital Management Funds and Putnam Funds. Furthermore, in its approach to provide investors with different opportunities, BBK has joined forces with Maraz-Kuwait Financial Centre, and together were able to launch two successful real estate investment funds. The first one was investing in a portfolio of industrial properties in the US, a second one was launched and invested in a portfolio of retail properties across the US.


Overseas Branches:

In line with BBK's philosophy of increasing our customers' access to quality products and services, the Overseas Branches Department of BBK has expanded its operations through branches in India, Kuwait and Dubai. The Hyderabad and Mumbai branches in India have a quality asset base that has been developed through efficient asset-liability management. These branches are in the process of initiating treasury and investment services, and developing attractive schemes for deposits. New facilities for online trading in capital markets and exchange drafts by telephone have been introduced. With the enhanced flow of business from NRIs in Gulf countries, both branches have exceeded its targets, offering substantial opportunities for quality growth.

BBK is the only non-Kuwaiti bank operating in Kuwait, with a presence since 1978. Operations have demonstrated excellent results, with relationships having been consolidated, and IT systems that have been upgraded. In response to the increased demand for services, the construction of a permanent branch in Kuwait has been initiated.

The Bank's UAE - Dubai representative office builds relationships with large corporate groups, creating the foundation for a permanent establishment.
