Dual Factor Authentication

BBK Internet Banking is designed to make your banking experience simple, convenient, fast and secure.

As an additional precaution, protect yourself further online with Dual Factor Authentication, which adds an extra step to your
basic login process.

When logging into Internet Banking, in addition to your Customer ID and ePIN, you will be required to enter a One Time Password (OTP) that is generated by or sent to your mobile phone. The OTP will be valid for only one login session and for a short period of time.

The registration process is simple. It consists of:

  1. Profile information verification
  2. Selection of the preferred OTP generation method
  3. Activation of the feature

During registration, you will be required to choose one of the two below methods of generating an OTP when logging into Internet Banking.

Smartphone Application Method by using the Dual Factor Authentication tool, BBK Pass, to generate an OTP.
This is available for download at Apple Store, Google Play,
Blackberry World and Windows app stores.

 SMS Method by receiving a system generated OTP through text messaging during login.

 

Once you have successfully activated the Dual Factor Authentication feature, you can enjoy peace of mind knowing that all transactions have been authorised and completed by you only.

 

 

Registration Steps​

Access www.bbkonline.com.

Click on ‘Retail login’ under Internet Banking.

Log in to Internet Banking by entering your Customer ID and ePIN.

Under ‘Preferences’, select ‘Dual Factor’ then ‘Registration’.

In the 'Dual Factor Authentication Registration' page, click on the ‘Register’ button after reading, understanding and accepting the service introductory and its Terms & Conditions.

In the following 'Profile Confirmation' page, verify your registered mobile number & e-mail address required for generating the One Time Password (OTP) then click on the ‘Next’ button.

6.1*Enter any missing information then click on the ‘Next’ button.

6.2*To update your profile information, go to the ‘Preferences’ menu and then select ‘Customer Profile’. Simply enter your correct details under the ‘Contact Details’ section and click on the ‘Submit’ button when completed.

*Your profile update request will remain pending until the Bank contacts you for verification. Once the Bank approves your request, you can continue with the registration process.

In the following 'Token Generation Method' page, select your preferred method for generating the OTP either via the Smartphone Application Method or the SMS Method.

 


 

7.1 If the Smartphone Application Method is selected, first install the 'BBK Pass' application on your mobile phone:


A) Search for 'BBK Pass' available for download in Apple Store, Google Play, Blackberry World and Windows app stores.

B) Copy the application link and open it in your mobile phone web browser to download.

7.2 After completing the installation, click on the ‘Next’ button to proceed with your selection.


7.3 In the subsequent page, follow the below steps to activate your ‘BBK Pass’ application:


7.3.1. Open ‘BBK Pass’ installed on your mobile phone and read and accept the ‘Terms of Service’ to proceed to the next screen.


7.3.2. In the ‘Serial Number’ field, enter the 7-digit ‘Serial Number’ you will receive by SMS on your registered mobile number.


7.3.3. In the ‘Activation Code’ field, enter the 21-digit ‘Activation Token’ displayed on the Internet Banking screen.


7.4 Click on the ‘Confirm’ button after completing the activation of ‘BBK Pass’ application.

If the SMS Method is selected, click on the ‘Next' button to confirm your selection and then continue to step 8 of the registration instructions.

After successfully enabling Dual Factor Authentication, you will be automatically logged out of Internet Banking. Going forward, you will be required to enter your 'Login OTP' in addition to your Customer ID & ePIN during login.  

 

 

 

 

How to log in using Dual Factor Authentication

Keep your mobile phone ready at hand.

Access www.bbkonline.com.

Click on ‘Retail login’ under Internet Banking.

  Log in by entering your Customer ID and ePIN.

  A second login page will appear asking for a Login One time Password (OTP).
  Based on your chosen preferred method, follow the below steps to receive or generate the Login OTP: 

 

6.1  Open ‘BBK Pass’ application installed on your mobile phone and then select ‘Login OTP’ from the menu to generate the password.

 6.2 Enter the 6-digit ‘Generated Login OTP’ into the Internet
Banking page before the password expires (30 seconds).

* In case the Login OTP has expired, you are required to repeat
the same process for a new valid OTP.

 

 

   6.1 The Login OTP will be sent in a text message to your
          registered mobile phone from BBK.

   6.2 Enter the 6-digit password into the Internet Banking page
          before the password expires (30 seconds).

  * In case the Login OTP has expired, you are required to
     repeat
steps 2 to 5 above for a new valid OTP.

Click on the ‘Submit’ button.

Upon correct entry of your Customer ID, ePIN and Login OTP, you will be able to access Internet Banking immediately.

 

 

 

 

 

 

How to create beneficiaries and request cheque books with Dual Factor Authentication​

Have your mobile phone at hand and ready.

Access www.bbkonline.com.

Click on ‘Retail login’ under Internet Banking.

Log in to Internet Banking by entering your Customer ID, ePIN and Login OTP.

When adding, editing or deleting a beneficiary for transfers or requesting new cheque book(s), follow the steps below based on your chosen preferred method:

 

 

5.1 After submitting the request, you will be required to verify your request in the confirmation screen using a Transaction One Time Password (OTP).

5.2 To generate the required Transaction OTP, open ‘BBK Pass’ application installed on your mobile phone, then select one of the below methods:



A) Transaction OTP
Enter the numbers from fields 1, 2, and 3 appearing in Internet Banking into the BBK Pass application

B) Transaction OTP using QR Code
Scan the QR Code using the phone’s camera and get the Transaction OTP instantly.

5.3 Enter the 6-digit ‘Generated Transaction OTP’ into the Internet Banking page before the password expires (30 seconds).

5.4 Click on the ‘Submit’ button

5.5 Upon successful entry, the request will be approved instantly.

 

  

 

5.1 After submitting the request, you will be required to verify your request by entering the *Authorisation Password in the confirmation screen.

* An Authorization Passwordd is required for online beneficiary creation and cheque book requests. To  request one, in Internet Banking go to the 'Preferences' menu and then select 'Authorisation Password'. Your request will be processed accordingly and will
be mailed to your registered address.


5.2 Upon successful entry, beneficiary requests will remain pending until verified by the Bank. As for cheque books, your request will be processed accordingly.

 


 

* In case the Transaction OTP has expired, you are required to repeat the same
process for a new valid OTP.
