BBK officially opens its Third Digital Branch at Al Liwan project

BBK, Bahrain's pioneer in Retail and Commercial banking, has announced the opening of its latest digital branch in Hamala on Tuesday, June 8th, making it the 18th BBK branch within the bank's wide network of branches and the 3rd of its digital (BBKPLUS) branches.

Following the successful launch of the Bank's other two digital branches in the Bahrain City Center and the Tala Plaza Financial Mall, which opened earlier this year, the new BBKPLUS branch at Al Liwan project allows customers to conduct a wide range of self service banking transactions around the clock with an added level of convenience and security. This project is amongst many that have been initiated by the Bank as a leap towards digitization whilst providing customers with optimal banking services with the highest of standards.

Commenting on the launch, BBK Group Chief Executive, Dr. AbdulRahman Ali Saif, said: "At BBK, we promise our customers a brighter banking experience and in this day and age, customers want to perform their banking transactions at their own convenience to suit their fast paced lifestyles.  Subsequently, we are proud to say that customers will be able to do so at our newly opened BBKPLUS branch at the Al Liwan project in Hamala. A step towards digital innovation, this new branch offers customers a wide range of self service and fully digitized solutions, which are available around the clock."

Dr. Adel Salem, General Manager of the Retail Banking division at BBK commented: "We are excited to launch the latest BBKPLUS branch which will provide customers with access to a wide range of services all under one roof. This is the second digital branch opened this year and BBKPLUS' Third digital branch overall, which is in line with the expansion plan of the BBKPLUS concept. The new branch primarily features the Digital Zone, which offers a range of banking services that enable customers to conveniently conduct their banking around the clock, in addition to the support of customer service staff during the working hours of the branch.

It is worth mentioning that the new branch offers a full-fledged self-service Digital Zone, providing an interactive digital banking experience for customers where they can perform their banking transactions easily and reliably 24/7 through its Smart ATMs which offer instant cash deposits among other services,  a Corporate Deposit Machine for instant bulk cash and cheque deposits, Instant Debit Card Issuance Machine which provides a range of services such as Debit Card renewal, replacement and the option to stop or activate the Debit Card, Bank Statement Issuance Machine for instant printing of Bank statements, in addition to the Interactive Teller Machine that assists customers in performing their banking transactions using voice and video technology.
