(MENAFN) The value of Oman”s non-oil exports experienced a major slump amid the Jan-May period of this year.
In addition, Oman”s non-oil exports dropped by 24.9 percent to RO985.3m in the Jan-May period of this year against RO1.31bn a year earlier.
Moreover, the decline in non-oil exports was due to the result of a drop in the export value of chemicals, plastics and rubber and base metals and articles.
Meanwhile, chemical exports declined by 29 percent to RO221mn from RO311.6mn, whereas export of base metals and articles dropped by 35 percent.
