(MENAFN) Air Arabia Group’s CEO, Adel Ali, announced that the airline’s passenger traffic in January climbed by around 15 percent from the same period a year before to 492,847 passengers, reported Arabian Business.
Ali said that the figure is the highest recorded in a single month since the carrier started operations.
He noted that Air Arabia’s seat load factor in January stood at 82.5 percent.
The CEO noted that the month witnessed also the reception of the carrier’s first fuel saving Sharklet equipped aircraft from Airbus.
It is worth noting that in 2012, Air Arabia’s passenger traffic grew by more than 13 percent to 5.3 million passengers.
