Airbus selected to provide Kuwait Airways with 25 jets

(MENAFN) Kuwait’s transport minister, Salem al-Othaina, announced that the state-owned carrier has selected Airbus to acquire jets from, reported Arabian Business.

Al-Othaina said that Kuwait Airways will buy planes from the European plane manufacturer as its offer was the best value for money and other specifications.

He added that the proposal made by Airbus, owned by aerospace and defense group EADS, was better than that by Boeing.

According to previous reports, Kuwait Airways would pay nearly USD2.98 billion to buy the 25 new jets.
