(MENAFN) BMMI Group chairman, Abdulla Buhindi, announced that the Bahraini company’s net profits in 2012 grew to USD22.67 million, compared with USD17.66 million a year earlier, reported Gulf Daily News.
Buhindi said that total sales in the year hit USD244.76 million, compared with 2011’s USD230.22 million.
In the mean time, the firm’s assets went up to USD173.25 million, from USD167.19 million posted in the previous year.
According to the chairman, BMMI’s food distribution unit’s performance was exceptionally well, with a double-digit growth recorded in the consumer division, and strong results for beverages sales.
It is worth noting that BMMI is a diversified retail and distribution, and contract services and supply group, supported by a world-class integrated logistics capability, with international operations spanning 3 continents, according to the company’s website.
