Bahrain- Tamcon creates JV with Chinese firm

(MENAFN) Tamcon Contracting, a subsidiary of Al Khaleej Development (Tameer), has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Chinese firm Sinohydro Corporation to form a joint venture on infrastructure and large scale construction in Bahrain and across the region, Gulf Saily News reported.

The MoU was signed by Tameer chief executive officer and vice-chairman Laith Al Memar and Sinohydro’s regional managing director Wu Wenhao.

The deal marks a major milestone for Tamcon Contracting and brings it closer to achieving its strategic vision of positioning itself among the top five ranking construction companies in Bahrain by 2012.
