(MENAFN) A research carried out by the Business Monitor International (BMI) shows that the construction sector in the Sultanate of Oman is expected to expand by 8.4 percent up to USD4.4 billion, Times of Oman reported.
A report released by the Central Bank of Oman reveals that the construction sector value in the Sultanate reached USD1.64 billion in the first half of 2012.
The water sector in Oman is also expanding with new projects being developed to meet the growing demand in the country. Malakoff International and ACWA Power are developing new desalination plants. And two new water projects are planned by the Oman Power and Water Procurement Company.
