Dubai holds the most expensive office real estate in the Middle East

24 Jun 2013

According to Arabian Business, Dubai’s office space is ranked the 25th most expensive in the world and the priciest in the Middle East.

The report by CBRE Global Research and consulting sheds light on the high international demand for premium quality office space. Currently, the average rental price for office space in Dubai is USD92.57 per sqft. In comparison, Hong Kong leads the world at USD235.23 per sqft.

The scarcity of premium quality office space in prime locations has triggered an increase in rental prices. According to CBRE Middle East Head of Research Matthew Green: “Dubai remains the destination of choice for global businesses looking to enter the region, driven by the prospects of economic, the stable political environment and a truly world class infrastructure.”

Dubai was the only Middle Eastern city to make the top 50. The rest of the top 50 most expensive cities for office space are mainly in Asia-Pacific.
