(MENAFN) Jumeirah Group’s CEO and President, Gerald Lawless, announced that the Dubai-based hotelier plans to expand its presence in India with the launch of a property in Goa, reported Arabian Business.
Lawless added that the group, which in 2017 will open a 470-room hotel in Mumbai’s Lower Parel district, is currently in talks with the same developer to launch a hotel in the Indian southern state.
On the other hand, he noted that the hotelier is eager to launch hotels in both Pakistan and Myanmar, in addition to Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar and Madinah.
It is worth noting that Jumeirah Group, which operates Dubai’s Burj Al Arab and hotels across the Middle East, Asia and Europe, is a unit of government-owned Dubai Holding.
