(MENAFN) Dubai-state carrier, Emirates Airline, said that it suspended flights to Bahrain due to the political unrest the country is undergoing, including the recent imposing of martial law, reported Arabian Business.
Emirates stated that it would resume flights once the situation is safe again. The carrier canceled flights EK835 and EK836 to Bahrain from March 19 to March 23, a period that includes four trips a week.
On another note, Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways is resuming flights according to their regular schedule.
As for Gulf Air, the Bahraini carrier, it stated that all flights to and from Iran and Iraq were canceled and that it temporarily shut sales offices in Manama.
