(MENAFN) Japan’s Isuzu Motors stated that it has launched a USD133 million truck manufacturing plant in Dammam 2nd Industrial City in Saudi Arabia, reported Arabian Business.
The Isuzu Motors Saudi Arabia Co. plant’s annual output capacity is projected to reach 25,000 trucks.
The company said that in the first year, the plant would produce 600 trucks, starting with the medium-duty truck Forward, and then expand the production to other cars in its line-up, adding that the plant might export trucks to other Middle Eastern countries.
It is worth noting that last year; the carmaker sold 11,000 commercial vehicles in the Kingdom, and forecasts 2012 sales to reach 14,000 commercial vehicles.
