(MENAFN) Mohamad Bitar, Founder and Managing Director of Just Falafel; the Abu Dhabi-based niche falafel sandwich chain, said that it plans to launch 300 to 400 outlets worldwide within the upcoming five years, in a bid to capitalize on plummeting rents across the Gulf, Arabian Business reported.
According to Bitar, Just Falafel, which currently has three stores in Dubai and two in Abu Dhabi, plans to install 75 new UAE outlets in 2012, while the next franchises will open in Saudi, Kuwait and Bahrain.
Bitar also said that it is possible to set up an outlet for between $120,000 and $140,000, making the rapid expansion possible thanks to bottom-basement prices caused by the recession.
