Kuwait Petroleum to sign energy USD5b energy deals

(MENAFN) Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said it will sign USD5 billion worth of oil and gas agreements soon, state-run news agency KUNA reported.

Naser Al-Mudhaf, Managing Director of Global Marketing at the state-run oil company, said the KPC signed a contract with a Thai firm to provide 20,000 barrels of crude and 300,000 tonnes of liquefied gas daily.

He said also that KPC agreed with India’s Baharat Petroleum to provide a daily 200,000 tonnes of liquefied gas, subject to increase, and another worth over USD2.5 billion with Indonesia’s Petromina.

CEO Farouq Al-Zanki said KPC is set to enter in talks over joint projects with partners from China and Vietnam.
