Morocco to sign $2.4b loan deal

(MENAFN) A Moroccan official reported that his country is in the process of securing a loan plan from the Islamic Development Bank, under which Morocco would receive a total of USD2.4 billion, reported Reuters.

The loan would be handed over to Morocco over a period of four years, where the country would receive equal batches on an annual basis.

It is worth mentioning that the budget deficit of the North African country amounted to 2.2 percent of the GDP in the first quarter of 2013.
