(MENAFN) CEO of Oman Air, Wayne Pearce, said that the air carrier has signed a codesharing agreement with Ethiopian Airlines, which will cover flights between Muscat, the Omani capital, and Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, reported Arabian Business.
Pearce stated that the service will be marketed by the Omani national carrier and operated by Ethiopian Airlines aircraft and will depend on the carrier’s 4 flights a week between the two cities.
It is worth mentioning that the Omani carrier plans to launch a budget airline to handle regional and domestic flights, a cargo carrier and operations to expand into new areas including Manila, Jakarta and Casablanca in an attempt to become profitable.
