(MENAFN) Mall of Qatar’s deputy managing director, Shem Krey, stated that construction works on the USD820 million mall have started, with the facility slated for completion in 2 years, reported Arabian Business.
Krey said that when completed, the mall, which will span over an area of 400,000 sqm, will be Qatar’s largest retail center.
He added that the development, located at the intersection between Al Rayyan Highway and Celebration Road, will comprise over 400 stores, cinemas, 20 international restaurants, a luxury hotel and a 3-level high marketplace.
Furthermore, it will encompass its own integrated metro station and parking for an excess of 7,000 cars.
It is worth noting that UrbaCon Trading and Contracting has designed and developed the Mall of Qatar, and will also operate the center when it is launched.
