(MENAFN) The international energy importer Qatar continues to grow as Qatargas has sold Qatar’s first Liquefied Natural Gas LNG cargo to Malaysia, reported Qatar News Agency.
Qatargas Operating Company Limited (Qatargas) has reached an agreement with Petronas LNG ltd (Petornas) to ship the cargo to Melaka in Malaysia, supplied with approximately 3.1 trillion Btu of LNG.
HE Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy & Industry and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatargas stressed on the importance of this deal, adding “Qatari LNG continues to play a key role in supporting efforts by countries around the world to diversify their energy supplies using gas as an environmentally friendly source of energy.”
