(MENAFN) Official said that tenders to award contracts for the construction of Qatar’s ambitious Airport City project will not be possible before the 2016-end, The Peninsula Qatar reported.
Chairman of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) said the multi-billion dollar Airport City project will have four circular zones, namely, Business District, Aviation Campus, Logistics District and Residential District.
The project, spread over an area of about 10sq km, will be connected by a Green Spine parallel to the second runway of Hamad International Airport (HIA), the official added.
“We are still in the concept design stage of the Airport City project, which needs to be developed further” so the announcement of the tenders will not be possible before another two years,” he said.
