(MENAFN) President of the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (KA-CARE) reported that revenues of Saudi Arabia’s power of nuclear and renewal sources are expected to hit a 50 percent rise over the following two decades, according to Saudi Gazette.
Hashim Yamani said: “Nuclear energy and renewables have an active role and can contribute up to 50 percent of electricity production.”
The Kingdom plans a project of USD100 billion to build nuclear reactors with 17 gigawatts capacity. The first plant is expected to start operating in 2020.
