(MENAFN) Sony has revealed its expansion plans to set new Sony-branded stores and service centres in Iraq, in cooperaton with its partner Modern Electronics Iraq (MEI), reported Khaleej Times.
Sony Middle East and Africa managing director, Hiroyasu Sugiyama, asserted the importance of the country stating: “Iraq is undoubtedly one of the most important markets for Sony. By 2015, we hope to achieve a $350 million share in the consumer electronics space, including the fast-growing mobile phone business”.
The company is set to enrich the Iraqi’s market with its latest technology products, for which the company’s customers will obtain warranty for the first time in Iraq.
It’s worth mentioning that Sony has already introduced two centres in Baghdad and Erbil, and will open three more by June 2014.
