(MENAFN) UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) stated that the country has announced a big change in the way it manages airspace, increasing capacity for the growing number of aircraft visiting the area, reported Arabian Business.
The GCAA explained that the change aimed at introducing three routes instead of the current single entry route in addition to other changes in the procedures for handling traffic flow that will contribute effectively in decreasing airspace congestion.
The authority added that some of the changes would help facilitate the flow of air traffic between UAE and Bahrain specifically.
It is worth noting that the UAE’s airspace, although very small, is one of the most important airspaces in worldwide thanks to its strategic location being the link between the East and West.
