(MENAFN) MEED Projects said that between 2012 and 2016, around USD286 billion worth of projects would be awarded in the GCC countries, reported Arab News.
The company added that more than USD119 billion worth of construction projects would be awarded in Saudi before 2016, followed by the UAE with USD75 billion and Qatar with USD26 billion.
On the other hand, it said that over USD30 billion worth of projects would be awarded in Oman, more than USD25 billion in Kuwait and USD10 billion in Bahrain.
It is worth noting that by the end of the current year, more than USD35 billion is expected to be invested in the Iraqi real estate and transport infrastructure sector.
