Value of property deals up 2% in Doha in Q1

(MENAFN) Asteco, the real estate consultancy, announced that real estate transactions grew by 2 percent in the Qatari capital during the first quarter from the fourth quarter of 2012, in terms of value, reported Arabian Business.

However, in terms of volume, property transactions declined by 2 percent.

According to the Qatar Ministry of Justice, total villa transactions rose by 6 percent in value terms, and by 8 percent in volume terms, nevertheless, the value of apartments deals plunged by 56 percent from the previous quarter.

It is worth noting that monthly rents for 5-bedroom villas stood at 7,547 in West Bay Lagoon.
