(MENAFN) A total of 29 contracting firms have been made to bid for the USD1bn King Abdullah Medical City project in Bahrain.
In addition, the project funded through USD267mn grant from the late King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, will be built on a 1mn square meters plot.
Moreover, a 288-bed hospital supported by on-site staff housing and other communal facilities will be developed followed by the launch of medical clinics.
The project will boast a 500-bed hospital besides academic school, research facility, and medical hotel, rehabilitation hospital for both students and staff.
