(MENAFN) The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) said that it set a goal of two million guests in the emirate’s 116 hotels for the year of 2011, reported gulf News.
ADTA said that the new target was in accordance with the strong performance in 2010 in which hotel guests where eight percent above target, amounting to 1.81 million.
ADTA also said that it aims for a little over ten percent increase in hotel guests in 2011 compared to 2010.
ADTA added that in order to achieve such target, the emirate would add over 4,000 rooms to the existing 18,844 ones. ADTA confirmed that the plan for 25,000 hotel rooms by the end of 2012 is also on track.
