(MENAFN) The Senior Vice-President-Airports Operations at Abu Dhabi Airports Company (Adac), Ahmad Al Haddabi, said that passenger traffic at Abu Dhabi International Airport rose by seven percent to over 1 million passengers in January 2011, reported Gulf News.
Al Haddabi said that aircraft movements also increased by 9 percent to a record of 9,899. The airport witnessed a 13 percent increase in cargo traffic in the month as well.
Al Haddabi added that the top 5 destinations, which accounted for 20 percent of the passenger traffic through the airport in January 2011, were London, Bangkok, Doha, Manila and Frankfurt.
