(MENAFN) Germany-based Linde, the world’s second biggest industrial gases maker, has signed a contract worth $1.1 billion in Abu Dhabi to build a processing installation for oil and gas, Khaleej Times reported.
The contract for an ethane cracker, which was negotiated last year, was signed on the first day of a trip by German Chancellor Angela Merkel to several Gulf states.
Europe’s biggest engineering conglomerate Siemens also signed a contract worth $145 million to develop power infrastructure.
