(MENAFN) GDP from construction increased by 3.3 percent, real estate by 8.1 percent in 2016, whereas production values from construction and real estate activities surpassed AED266bn.
Meanwhile, the real estate market in the country recorded a notable increase last year due to the ongoing diversification of real estate, construction and infrastructure projects.
Additionally, construction sector is the most important non-oil sector, in terms of economic activities in the country, while the emirate is applying an economic diversification policy.
Construction in the nation increased over the last few years with the launch of many infrastructure, housing and entertainment projects.
