(MENAFN) A recent report released by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority showed a 7 percent increase in hotel guests in the Gulf emirate in April, compared to a year earlier, state news agency WAM reported.
The official report said that Abu Dhabi’s hotels received 196,753 guests last month.
Hotel occupancy, however, fell 11 percent from a year earlier, standing at 64 percent.
The emirate’s tourism authority also reported 4 percent increase in hotel revenue in April to USD108 million.
The report also said that Abu Dhabi’s biggest source of arrivals was the UK, followed by India.
