(MENAFN) According to the latest figures released by The Abu Dhabi Statistics Centre (Scad), Abu Dhabi’s inflation rate in consumer prices has hit 4 percent in October, thus reaching its highest since November 2010, Gulf News reported.
During October, housing and utility costs, which account for almost 38 per cent of consumer expenses, surged 5.4 percent in October compared to the same month last year.
Meanwhile, prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which account for 16 percent of consumer expenses, increased 4 percent compared to the corresponding month of 2013.
SCAD also said that the inflation rate in consumer prices has hit 3.1 per cent for the January-October period of this year compared with the same period of 2013.
