(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi Fund for Development’s (ADFD) acting director general, Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, said that the fund would support the Republic of Gambia’s project to rebuild a key road through a loan of around USD10 million, reported Arabian Business.
Al Suwaidi said that the road would be 14 kilometers long and would link the two Gambian major cities of Mandinaba and Soma.
Al Suwaidi said that the fund approved this loan as it would lead to better business and commercial movement between the two cities.
It is worth noting that ADFD had previously funded Gambia�s Yandom airport project back in the seventies which cost USD2.12 million.
