Abu Dhabi port eases restrictions on oil tankers

08 Jun 2017

(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi port authorities have facilitated restrictions on oil tanker going to and from Qatar, as announced industry sources and shipping circulars by Reuters.

In addition, Abu Dhabi Petroleum Ports Authority issued a new circular, removing previous restrictions on non-Qatar owned, flagged or operated vessels sailing to and from Qatar.

Accordingly, two very large crude carriers, which can each carry up to 2mn barrels of oil, loaded Abu Dhabi grades on Wednesday.

Saudi Arabia’s Port Authority announced shipping agents not to accept vessels flying the Qatari flag or ships owned by Qatari firms or individuals.
