(MENAFN) Italy’s fashion house Bottega Veneta announced that it will launch a new store in Abu Dhabi during the summer, encouraged by strong sales in the Middle East, reported Arabian Business.
The company said that the move is part of the Italian label’s plan to expand presence in emerging markets, including the Middle East.
It said that the Abu Dhabi boutique will only display fashion items, with no furniture.
In 2012, Bottega Veneta sales in the region grew by 37 percent from a year earlier.
The company said that in terms of market share in the GCC region, Dubai is number one where Bottega Veneta has 4 stores, followed by Kuwait and Qatar.
It is worth noting that the Italian brand, which operates 196 boutiques globally, plans to boost the size of its retail network by between 10-15 percent a year.
