(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi rent dispute have surged by more than 100 percent among the last five year, which posted a 27 percent dispute cases per day.
Moreover, the cases focused generally on disputes over the increase in rents or requests by landlords to remove a tenant who stopped paying rent.
In addition, the jump in rental disputes in the emirate was attributed to an amendment to the law in Nov 2013, which ended the rent cap to 5 percent.
Meanwhile, the index plans to divide the emirate into different zones and recommended guide to rental levels.
