(MENAFN) Accor Middle East unveiled plans to open its first ibis brand in Abu Dhabi later this month, Arabian Business reported.
Accor said that Ibis Abu Dhabi Gate will help fill a gap in the market for good quality budget accommodation. Ibis is the worldwide economy hotel brand of the Accor group.
The hotelier said that Abu Dhabi is filled up with five-star properties, unlike the very few hotels that target budget-conscious travellers.
Ibis Abu Dhabi Gate will feature 252 standard rooms and 42 one-bedroom apartments.
The hotel will also include a variety of dining options such as the Ibis all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast, a coffee shop and Ibis WOK&Co restaurant.
Accor currently has nine ibis hotels in the region with 2,203 rooms and seven ibis hotels comprising 1,457 rooms under development in Manama, Fujairah, Jeddah, Riyadh and Yanbu.
