AccorHotels signs pact for upscale projects in Doha

(MENAFN) AccorHotels, one of the leading global hotel operators, has announced the signing of a management agreement with Al Jassim Group, a prominent Qatari business group, to operate the first Majlis Grand Mercure hotel in Qatar.
The signature ceremony was held on Thursday in Doha in the presence of the French ambassador Eric Chevallier. The new upscale property will be AccorHotels’ seventh hotel in Qatar, and is expected to be completed by mid-2018.
Christophe Landais, chief operating officer of AccorHotels Middle East, stated that the project will mark the beginning of a long-lasting collaboration.
While pointing out Al Jassim Group has immense regional knowledge with regard to the local culture and business environment, Landais observed that their expertise in working with international brands and adapting them to the Qatari market.
