(MENAFN) Aecom Technology Corp. said that it has received a $28 million contract from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to work on an environmental conservation and water reuse project in Amman, Jordan, Bloomberg reported.
The company was awarded the five-year project under the USAID’s Global Architecture Engineering Infrastructure Indefinite Quantity Contract.
Under the terms of the deal agreement, Aecom will work with USAID to increase industrial wastewater reuse, reduce energy consumption, improve regulatory enforcement, expand knowledge sharing and reduce industrial pollution in the region, the company said.
