(MENAFN) Sharjah’s low-cost carrier Air Arabia posted a net profit increase of USD154 million in 2014, up by 30 percent, Emirates 247 reported.
The surge in 2014 is emphatic when compared with the USD118.39 million net profit in 2013. The low-cost carrier’s turnover reached USD1 billion for the full year of 2014, an increase of 17 percent on 2013, motivated mainly by increased passenger numbers.
“Our programme of expansion into new markets combined with improved operational efficiencies has led to another year of sustained growth and profitability for the airline,” Chairman of Air Arabia said.
