(MENAFN) Air France-KLM’s chief executive, Jean-Cyril Spinetta, said that the carrier is mulling a partnership deal with UAE’s Etihad, since the latter proposed a partnership on some routes, reported Gulf News.
Spinetta added that the partnership would include the German domestic routes of Air Berlin, the country’s second biggest airline.
On the other hand, he said that at the current time, the Franco-Dutch airline is going through a restructuring program that includes reduced aircraft investments and a renovation of the European passenger network at its French arm.
It is worth noting that UAE’s Etihad owns nearly 30 percent of Air Berlin.
