(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) said that in the first half of 2011, Al Bateen Executive Airport’s private jet movements rose 40 percent from the same period in 2010, reported Emirates 24/7.
ADAC added that compared with the same period last year, commercial movements surged 12 percent reaching over 4,500 movements.
On the other hand, Al Bateen Executive Airport’s General Manager, Stephen Jones, said that since more business aircraft operators like Rotana Jet would be basing aircraft at ADAC’s business aviation airport, traffic would keep expanding.
It is worth noting that because of Al Bateen’s ease of access, short turnarounds and top quality services, the airport became a highly attractive and cost effective stopping point for long flights.
