Alitalia in talks with UAE’s Etihad Airways

(MENAFN) Italy’s Alitalia is currently in talks with Etihad Airways, UAE’s national carrier, on a possible investment, but analysts said it could take times before anything can result from the negotiations, Arabian Business reported.
The talks come following as an attempt to help keep the carrier in the air.
Alitalia is also attempting to extend an existing loan agreement by an additional USD68 million, signaling that the Italian airline might again hit a liquidity crunch.
