Aluminum Bahrain profit jumps to USD129mn

(MENAFN) Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) swung to a net profit of USD36.5mn in Q4 of 2016 against a net loss of USD41.8mn for the same period of 2015.
The firm’s net income for the whole year 2016 reached USD128.7mn, compared to USD159.5mn in 2015, down by 19 percent.
In addition, the aluminum major posted total sales of USD1.781bn last year against USD2.039bn in 2015, down by 13 percent.
As for the quarter of 2016, sales reached USD483mn, down by almost 2 percent against USD469mn in Q4, 2015.
