(MENAFN) Qatar’s Qatalum aluminum plant is exporting metals through ports in Kuwait and Oman, as well as a Qatari container port, trailing a diplomatic row with neighbors that had stopped shipments.
Moreover, Hydro, which owns 50 percent of the plant, proclaimed that new export routes had been established but declined at the time to say which nations it would go through.
Accordingly, there is a recently finished container port in Qatar, which the firm started using and also it has shipments amid Kuwait and Oman.
However, Hydro remains worried by the regional tensions, while the Qatalum plant generates more than 600.000 tons of primary aluminum per year.
