(MENAFN) Google’s regional manager, Mohamad Mourad, stated that Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal was in talks with Google chairman, Eric Schmidt, regarding possible business collaboration between Google and Alwaleed’s Kingdom Holding, reported Saudi Gazette.
Mourad also said that any potential tie up between Kingdom Holding and the US Internet giant would be in the technological sector. He pointed out the significance of cooperation between Google and the Saudi Prince as the world’s number 1 search engine looked to expand further in the Middle East.
It is worth noting that Google’s chairman Eric Schmidt blamed Arab leaders who blocked Internet in their countries during the uprisings saying that such decisions have a negative impact on the country’s economy as well as other sectors.
