Analysis and Outlook of Bahrain Banking Sector in 2011

Abdulkarim Ahmed Bucheery, Chief Executive of BBK & Chairman of Bahrain Association of Banks, is interviewed for the latest report on Bahrain prepared by MarcoPolis, a press and communication agency headquartered in Paris, specializing in the production of economic and upscale tourism country reports, featured through a unique online platform.
Bahrain Report 2011 looks in detail on Bahrain’s economy and also highlights the industry trends. The report marks the culmination of more than three months of groundbreaking field research by a team of editors and journalists from MarcoPolis, assessing trends and developments in all major sectors of the economy including energy, industry, finance, banking, tourism, transport, and real estate.
In a wide ranging interview, Abdulkarim Ahmed Bucheery the banking sector in Bahrain and the outlook for 2011. According to Mr. Bucheery, Bahrain is over-banked which limits the number of new entrants into the market. Otherwise, the sector is healthy and sound.
Greater consolidation of the sector is possible althought happening very slowly. Despite the crisis the fundamentals remain strong and Bahrain still offers excellent facilities for financial companies in the region.
