(MENAFN) The annual cost of traffic accidents in Jordan reached USD2bn, accounting for 5.59 percent of the GDP, as stated Transport Minister.
Moreover, the numbers were proclaimed at a ministerial committee meeting to follow up on the installation of strategic transport projects.
In addition, the projects involve the regulation of land transport drivers’ professional qualifications, which plans to launch a national system to train truck, public cars and others.
The project will also contribute to establish a safe transport system in line with global legislation and is aiming to boost the credibility of the Jordanian land transport sector.
